Broken-Hearted Over A Pair Of Boots
I saw this pair of vintage boots on eBay and about dropped. They are AMAZING. Salmon suede with a bulky zipper on the back... ::sigh:: They're so unique! No one had bid on them yet and the auction had only thirty minutes to go. I thought, "Super! No one else with a 9.5 size foot wants these or has seen these!" Remember that my jaw was dropped while thinking this, and my heart was pounding. I mean, it was love! Thinking I had them in the bag, I made the minimum bid (my mistake) and went off searching for a jacket that would go well with them. That's the irony. I was ON EBAY when they were sniped from me. I should have made a higher bid and been watching the auction, but I was complacent. Silly me!!! Now h***s gets to wear these boots (for a freakin' steal of a price I might add) and I get to wonder what could've been. Congratulations to her. I hope she catches a foot disease from them!*
*Just kidding, I'm sure she's a nice person, and I've done my own fair share of sniping.

oh its true – very sad because these are so lovely, and would look amazing on you!
They are a great colour and style, but I think the suede looks kind of worn and battered in places – and worn out suede isn’t a very good look. So I think you were actually saved!
oh well. that happens. Nice boots. Ebay is a wonderland. I”m sure you will find something else fantastic.
I feel your pain. =/ Maybe she will end up not paying and you’ll be able to get it instead of her. It has happened to me more than once before! =)
Isn’t that the worst? Maybe she won’t pay and you’ll get a second chance. Also, have you tried using bid assistant? I usually win with that; be happy to tell you all about it!

Don’t kid, being spiteful is lots of fun and a relief after something that you’re lusting after has been snatched away by another eBay-er.

But maybe the girl who bought them really gets a foot disease from them and then you’ll be happy that you didn’t get them, because otherwise YOU would’ve caught that foot disease!

I know this sounds overly dramatic, but I’ve stopped ebaying ever since I had a similarly heart breaking experience over a double-breasted cream waist coat *sigh*. Damn those snipers!
Am I the only person that really dislikes snipping and think it should be banned? I totally think it takes the fun out of eBay.

If you want it bad enough, always snipe with your maximum bid. Lots of things won’t be bid on at all till the sniping at the end, as you’ve found out, so you can’t be sure you have it in the bag just because there’s no activity yet.

That large zipper detail is awesome. Those are some really cool boots. I like the seam right up the front too, very 60s!
I wear an 8 like almost every other woman, so I have never even tried to bid on shoes. My sister wears a 6 and she always finds the most awesome shoes at the goodwill. I think women used to have smaller feet from the generations I most like to shop.

Well I take one look at these boots and i feel better for people in your life now that u lost the auction. I wouldnt put these boots on a hairless dog. Just take a a good look at those cheap zippers in back, ugly old things. You save your money girl your gonna need it in the upcoming months. You dont need those boots. U just let those ugly rich ladies buy that junk up. Your above that girl O_O…..
