Christmas Wishlist 2009

.
I still haven't gotten over my desire for a gold wisdom tooth pendant (as I expressed here in an earlier post). These can be found on eBay (example 1, example 2) but are rare and usually kind of expensive. Here's a much less expensive one in silver that I love just as much: vintage silver tooth charm.

.
Though I've always admired them, I recently became obsessed with the 80%20 Cody boot, in black or cognac (natural). I would probably wear the black ones more often but the cognac would fill a much-needed space in my wardrobe and are on sale at Karmaloop.com. I've been imagining them with lots of my dresses and thinking about how they would simply make the look. Obsessed!

.
Believe it or not, I haven't yet made room in my stretched budget for an Indie Style Media t-shirt. They're only $11, but if I get one for me then I'll also get one for BB (he likes the purple one), and buttons as well. Also, I'm having a hard time choosing which one I like best. Which one is your favorite? I would appreciate your feedback.

.
A 5x7 or 4x6 spiral notebook. I use these for to-do lists, shopping lists, packing lists, thoughts, doodles, etc. It's time for me to get another.

.
It's also about time for me to get another purse. I used to have one similar to this mauve Junior Drake cross body handbag (part of my product recommendations for Karmaloop.com) but it wasn't real leather and wore out after lots of love and adventures. That color goes surprisingly well with many outfits!

.
I put navy glitter TOMS shoes on last year's wishlist and I wear them just about every day. I'm lazy and they're easy to slip on, and also I wear them as flat shoes for driving and then change into my heels or wedges. They've held up well considering how often I've been wearing them, really well actually, but I know I'm going to wear them into the ground. I think next I'd like a pair of black glitter or black canvas ones, or gold like the ones I included in my product recommendations for Karmaloop.com. These make really great gifts. I'm giving a pair this season myself. You've got to love the fact that for every pair bought a pair is donated to a child in need.

.
I have been wanting and looking for a pair of patchwork leggings since the beginning of autumn, and so far the best affordable ones I've found have been made by Etsy member tegonia123. I'm a little desperate for a pair of these.

.
Shock Value: A Tasteful Book About Bad Taste by John Waters. I just finished his other book, Crackpot, and loved it. If you don't know who John Waters is, you've probably seen or at least heard of his most mainstream film, Hairspray.

.
I used to have a black cashmere beret from Target but I lost it sometime last winter! I miss it. I'd love a replacement in black, charcoal, gray or pink. It was so soft and just so great.

  1. I should note to anyone interested that the other things in my Karmaloop recommendations are also on my wish list with the exception of the 80%20 booties (which I already own).

Also, I’d like to add that I’m not asking anyone to get me anything who wasn’t already planning to, but these sure are helpful hints for those who are! ;) ;) (and they know who they are)

  2. I vote for the purple ISM shirt. And I’ve also been on the hunt for the beret that fits my head perfectly, especially as I’m growing out my hair!

  3. Stella – Everyone loves the purple one best! As for the beret, I know what you mean, I have one that’s too small. Also, one that’s too big and kind of on the rasta spectrum. I’m going to try and take it in, actually! lol.. I’m thinking… safety pins? Ha, I’m not much of a seamstress. ;)

  4. I love the look of that bag!

  5. Ooh a list full of pretty. I think I love the purse the best. :)
