Whenever my best girlfriend visits me, one of our absolute favorite things to do is make a trip to Whole Foods and eat at the hot bar, then walk down to Anthropologie and "Ooooh," and "Ahhhh," over all the cute things. By far, our favorite sections are the kitchen goods and home interior items. Mary loves birds, and Anthropologie is always good for something bird-shaped. Little bird-shaped salt and pepper shakers? Yes! How about a little bird perched on a sugar bowl? Oh, yes! And aprons--so many adorable aprons! If you want a cutesy vintage apron, Anthropologie is a good place to check. A lot of the goods seem to be Eastern European inspired--lots of vivid folky florals and embroidered towels and blankets. Don't get me started on the furniture--velvet loveseats and Victorian fainting couches, whole buckets of crystal knobs... But above all, my very favorite goods are the rocks glasses, wine glasses, and tumblers. What can I say? I'm sort of a lush and I like my cocktails to be as well-dressed as I am.
