Superman Ice Cream

My dress looks like superman ice cream.
(If I appear zombified, it's because I was recovering from a cold and on balloon-head medication.)

  • Vintage psychedelic dress found on eBay
  • Silly Bandz! Actually the generic ones from Wal-Mart
  • Acrylic cocktail ring bought on Venice Beach
  • UO short sheer gray hose
  • Handmade leather backpack found on eBay
  • 80%20 Molly Mesh shoes from Karmaloop

This is what I ended up wearing on July 4th. Benjamin said my dress resembles fireworks, but I think it looks like superman ice cream, another special summertime treat. We ticked off the day's requirements: barbecue, hot dog, beer, fireworks. The night began with watching the Nashville fireworks downtown at The Mercy Lounge. There was a wedding party underneath the patio with about a hundred sparklers.

I know that fireball looks frightening but I don't think anyone was hurt.

We bounced around a little after the fireworks and caught a few different friends' bands. Then we took off and chilled with buddies and more fireworks at a keg party.

Silly bandz are for sharing! Dawn, our local Cobrasnake (haha), snapped a candid of me passing them out. I have no shame in falling fashion-victim to a 10-year-old's trend. 8)

For the record, I grew up in Kentucky and remember superman ice cream tasting like sherbert. :)
