I think of Doc Martens as sustainable in a way, because I have an ancient pair from the 90's that I've been wearing regularly for years without ever needing a new sole or repairs (and obviously they've never been polished). I love the broken-in patina and memories they hold, but I decided to add another pair to what is now officially a collection (the minimum required for a collection, but still!). I went for teal "peacock" this time, a favorite color I haven't seen in Docs anywhere but at PlanetShoes. Side by side, the differences are astonishing! My older pair look like absolute antiques, lol.. and they kinda are. I've never actually had a pair of new Docs to break in before now because my first pair were used when I got them. My boyfriend at the time found them abandoned in an apartment he was moving into, and luckily they fit me perfectly. No telling how old they are! ♥

I love the color of those teal Doc Martens! Teal is one of my favorite colors….I am taking a trip to London this year and I do plan on at least stopping in and checking out one of the stores there…not sure whether I will buy a pair or not.

I think Docs are a really great way to add oomph to any outfit.. My boyfriend got me a pair lately, and although I was never really a big punk fan, I love them soooo much! It feels heavy at first, since I’m pretty used to the usual sandals and heels, but the bouncing soles are awesome. I like how something so “street” can be soooo timeless.
