I wore this the other night to go see David Sedaris. I'm a big Sedaris fan. I've got all his books and audio books and have read them / listened to them countless times. The audio books are excellent for long car trips or when working on the house.

Wesley crashes the shot!

Before the show, Benjamin and I attempted to have dinner at The Spaghetti Factory. Unfortunately it was super packed and we had to wait an hour to be seated, then another 20 minutes for just a glass of water! Long story short, we ended up swallowing three courses whole and then running uphill a few blocks to the historic Ryman Auditorium, laughing about the realistic possibility of public vomiting along the way. Public vomiting on stage = rock 'n' roll legend. Public vomiting in line to see David Sedaris = social pariah. Luckily, that didn't happen. David Sedaris was hilarious and awesome as always. After the show we checked out some tourist shops downtown, including Dolly Parton's shop, which was fun. She has some dresses on display there and let me tell you, she is freakishly unbelievably tiny! We walked around and acted like tourists. I was on the hunt for George Jones merch, as I am obsessed with George Jones, but didn't really find much except for a keychain. After that we went to Foobar, a punk dive bar with a surprisingly luxurious restroom, for some dance partying.

    daisychain – It’s Maybelline Superstay in Violet. I pretty much only wear Maybelline Superstay because it’s serious about staying put.

    hannahlizabeth – Yep. It’s an XL or something. I often buy normal tanks oversized so they’ll be flowy.

    haha, I had NO idea they had Old Spaghetti Factories in the USA. Man, that place is a great deal when you are broke but yeah, crowded with too many families!

    Danielle – Dolly is so very lovable. I read her autobiography and she’s a real freebird as well, a definite free-thinker! You should have seen her dressform though… absolutely unreal!!! It looks like tiny little dresses in museums from when people were smaller. I could wrap my hands around her waist and touch fingertips–teeny tiny!!! With a big bust like Barbie. It’s shocking in person. But she’s amazing. Everyone loves Dolly. :)
