More Adventures In Bleached Clothes

Remember when I scattered bleach all over an old shirt (Speaking of bleach, look how blonde my hair was! I still struggle against going back to the lighter blonde, but I really do like being darker blonde... What do you think?)? I've been wearing that shirt a little more often recently.

DIY top
Old Navy vest
eBay skirt - I think it's Express
Gray tights
80%20 boots
Beaded necklace and bracelet from roadtrip
.
I wore it last night to see The Gene Ween Band with my buddy, Aaron, and his comedian friend. ;) Aaron does the graphics for Ween, so we hung out backstage for a little bit after the show. The bassist chilled with us at a nearby bar (where my bb works) and was super nice.

Anyway, thanks Aaron! I had a lot of fun. By the way, guys, Aaron and I are working on a top secret project together. He's freaking awesome and if you need graphic work you should check him out.

I still haven't gotten over the embarrassment of self-portrait-taking.

I've been so quiet lately! All the stuff going on in my personal life has made me button up around here. Sorry--I will talk more about the things I do starting now..
You should follow me on Twitter if you're not already, by the way.

  1. the vest is my favorite part! and i DO love the lighter blonde, but then i’m also feelin’ the darker one!! ugh i’m the wrong girl to ask, cause i’ll love you even with no hairz. <3

  2. That top is so cute! <3
You have amazing bleaching skills! ;)
And your hair is lovely both colours, but I particularly love the lighter blonde!
I’ve been um-ing and ah-ing over my hair too, but after sitting through iphoto facial recognition and seeing hundreds of photos of my face (urghhh!) I have decided lighter hair is the way to go for me! hehe

  8. I think your hair looks really lovely darker blonde!

  9. This is a great outfit. I rather like it without the vest, but maybe just because I can see the necklace better. The copper-key looks great with the orange shoes and taupe bleach spots. Your shirt is very reminiscent of this one I’ve been thinking I want from Forever21 (hope the link works):

The black shirt with monochromatic pattern can just go with everything!

  10. Oh well, link didn’t work. Here is is as well:

  11. Those red boots are fantastic, I am such a fan of red shoes but I never seem to buy a pair when they are sitting next to a pair of black ones :-(

    Sal – Thank you!

EmilyKennedy – I love the ethnic look! And to be honest, I didn’t wear the vest out because it was too warm. ;)

Georgie – They are actually orange, but don’t worry, they get called red a lot. Maybe they are red-orange?

corline – Wow, thanks! I never thought I could model but I try. ;)

  14. the top is so great! i don’t think it could have been better if you would have bought it in a shop! it looks perfect!

  29. I love that shirt… I’ve been meaning to do that with one of my black shirts lately, but when I went to use the bleach I realized it was busted and drained out all over my bathroom floor… I haven’t replenished my bleach supply yet, but I’m happy to see that it does look good!
