Makeshift Party Dress

I made this dress out of a skirt from Target and a thrifted tube top (the "Hot Stuff" one, turned inside out). I also added a vintage chain necklace and an abalone shell pendant I got from a shop in St. Augustine.

  1. OMG! I would have never guessed it was just a skit. I like how it looks n_n.

  2. Oooo I love this! Pink is my favourite (and yours by the look of your site, bit of a bright kick coming over from google reader!).

Would never have been able to tell the dress is meant to be a skirt.

  3. OOOH! I love the innovation. I like how the hem looks uneven now. I love that look!

  4. damn girl! don’t hurt ‘em!

  5. Pretty! I love a good bit of fashion improvisation.

  6. Woah! Exactly the same color, too! Awesome idea!

  7. That’s really clever. The tube top adds interest and color. An obi of sorts!

  8. So creative! I love how the tube top contrasts against the colour of the skirt/dress. And I’m in love with your shoes :D

  9. I would never have guessed it was a skirt and top, not a dress and sash! It looks great and I also LOVE your shoes.

  10. I love this look for you! And I love how long your hair is! I know it has been this long all along, but still! I love the washed out colours of the ‘dress’ contrasted with the severe black tights.

    Big love girl.

  11. looks good! i also have a habit to make skirts to dresses, my roomie whos 1-2 sizes bigger than me has donated me some skirts so they make an awesome miniskirts when i pull them up and but a belt over the top. for one example.

  12. You look like you are ready to party!

  13. Annie, it is one of the hottest outfits I have ever seen! BRIGHT!
