Dressed Like A Fashion Blogger
If you eat fashion blogs for breakfast, then this outfit is like cornflakes for you. This isn't exactly ground-breaking fashion right here. This shit is relevant! I'm wearing a cool kid costume. This is the cult of rocker chic status quo, and tonight I'm having a vodka and Kool-Aid. I'm sure I'll dress like Lisa Frank on crack again sometime next week, but for now you're stuck with something that's actually pretty stylish for once.
- T by Alexander Wang jersey cowlback dress thanks to Shopbop
- Plaid flannel from Target
- American Apparel catsuit thanks to New Amendment Clothing in L.A.
- Vintage extra long chain necklaces
- Ankh necklace, a gift from BFF Solly
- My favorite bracelet, beaded cuff from Chloride, AZ
- Rebecca Minkoff cross body bag thanks to Shopbop
- Jeffrey Campbell Lita in mustard thanks to Eilatan
I wore this to see Grinderman (Nick Cave) the other night. It was one of the best shows yet this year despite being dangerously crowded and hot. My favorite is the song, "Evil."

it’s the Lita’s!
Lisa Frank on crack. Do I have to draw a little heart with my thumb and pointer finger again for the second time this week? You are cracking me up! I bought some T by Alexander Wang shirts on sale. Thank goodness they were cheap. Those things shrank like you would not believe and now I have a couple of belly shirts.
fierce way to rock the lita’s!
Annie, you’re the rockest fashion blogger ever. You’re the Joan Jett of the blogosphere.
xx from rainy Paris
HOT! Love those litas!
Ahhh love Nick cave! Was it immense?!
I think you look incredible in all your styles. I am especially in love with this one, it’s the cobain check shirt vibe…and that Minkoff bag is incredible

I’m into it. I love anything plaid and honestly, you really could wear anything and look great

Definitely a cool look. I love the plaid and the necklaces. Those shoes are pretty kick ass as well.
Ha! I do power point presentations of my Matster’s thesis topic from time to time and one of the scandalous things I argue is that race gets subsumed by the desire to be fashionable / on trend / stylish. I can show 30 different bloggers representing Asians, Blacks, Hispanics and Whites and there will be leggings, heels, a slouchy top, and a cross body bag worn by at least someone in every racial category. Race is socially constructed, but so is fashion – for sure. I can do the same thing with shorts over tights.
Anyways! I still think everyone spins it a little differently. The flannel may or may not be present. Even the cross-body bag is often replaced by a slouchy hobo purse. And those Litas are a rare find indeed. You are distinctly Annie, one way or another.
That Grinderman tour! xo I caught them up in Boston and they were positively electric!
I love this look! I’m a big fan of the whole T line, how’s that dress look in the back? And can I let loose with a little flannel-shirts-are-back-in-style appresh? Because I have been ensconced in plaid fuzziness for a few months now and I could not be happier about it.
Those shoes are incredible!!
Love the outfit Annie

I’m not sure what a fashion blogger is supposed to look like. But I’ll take your word for it.
You do have what I’ve seen on a lot of fashion bloggers though. Black Leggings? Check. Chains? Check. Bag? Check.
I didn’t know that was a catsuit… I thought those were leggings – show us the catsuit!
