I first discovered Jeremy Scott when I was browsing The Cobrasnake, or maybe I was snooping around Cory Kennedy's MySpace... in any case his sense of humor and bravado made an impression on me. Then I saw him on America's Next Top Model, on which he told a model to stop pulling up her skirt on the runway, lol... I relate to the girl because sometimes you just don't know what to do with your hands, but when mine ever stray to my hem while taking outfit shots, I always think of Jeremy Scott scolding that girl for how lewd and silly it looks. Scott's signature is bold, loud, cartoon-style prints, using images lifted from pop consumerist culture. I'm a fan of his phone and boot prints from past collections, and the winged trainers he designed as part of his collaboration with Adidas sneakers. Personally, I would love a pair of shoes with metallic wings--I bet they make you run faster. ::wink:: It worked for Mercury!
