Anthropologie
Anthropologie clothes are always pretty. That's the most simple way to describe them: pretty. Feminine, artsy, well-made, vintage-inspired, Bohemian, and above all... pretty. Their clothes have a dreamy, hiccuping, meringue quality to them, but in a very grown-up way. I've often said that Anthropologie makes excellent career and work clothes for girls who wore Urban Outfitters in college. Their jackets, sweaters, tops, dresses, skirts, and pants are urban and funky, but also sophisticated. They would make the perfect wardrobe for a museum director, I like to think. Unfortunately, there has been some controversy and bad press surrounding them lately. The owner of the parent company of Anthropologie and Urban Outfitters has been said to make donations to politicians who oppose gay marriage. If you support equality and gay marriage rights, then perhaps you may choose to avoid shopping at Anthropologie despite how cute their clothes are. If that's the case, then I suggest searching for their clothing on eBay. You can find many items new with tag (NWT) or gently used, and if you support gay marriage then perhaps you support green shopping as well.
