Have you ever wondered where the Acne brand gets its name? I have. I always thought it was weird, and frankly, that word is usually associated with Clearasil. The jean company was founded in Stockholm, Sweden in 1996 as an Ambition to Create Novel Expressions, and 100 pairs of red-stitched denim jeans were sent to friends and family a year later. Due to increasing demand and requests, a full collection was released in 1998. Since then they've maintained a signature of understated luxury and simple designs.
