The Holy Grail of Drugstore Eye Shadow

Maybelline Silken Taupe
I've been using this eyeshadow for several years as my default go-to every day and also nighttime color, Maybelline's "Silken Taupe." I love it because it adds a little color and shimmer but looks natural, and it lasts without creasing.
Maybelline Metal Eyes Trio
I recently picked up the "Metal Eyes" trio and it is the best thing ever. It's still subtle shimmer but with a little more depth, and gold eye shadow looks good on everyone.

    - Maybelline Sky High Curves waterproof mascara (Very Black)

    - Covergirl “Stormy Lites” eye shadow (Sterling Blue is like a greyish metallic blue, totally rad)

    - Prestige Cosmetics Let Loose! Shimmering Shadow Dust (Rejoice – which is a silver)

    - Quo Diamond (liquid) Liner (Black Spark – Canadian company, black eyeliner with silver microsparkles)

    I love anything by Bourjois – made by the makers of Chanel cosmetics. Seriously though, I had to comment as the top picture is funny – the multicoloured fur looks like a hairdo with bangs and the eyeshadow would be the face!!! That’s what I can see anyway!!!!

    I bought a couple of the EyeStudio from Maybelline last week, silver and white.
    Just tried it yesterday’s night and loved how it looks and stays on… Took some pics, so I’ll try to upload them soon.
    Bourjois is another fave of mine. They have an extensive collection of amazing colors… And they all come in such cute little boxes!

    I know what you mean about always using the same eyeshadow, I’m guilty of doing the same thing! I like shades like this and its always nice getting a little out of your comfort zone, but at the same time wearing pretty and flattering ‘safe’ shades :) I only use drugstore make up too, really. Mainly because having tried more expensive brands, I felt I wasn’t getting my money’s worth!

    i’m not really faithful to any cosmetic… as far as makeup is concerned, except Loreal lipstick…. the reds are the best out there.

    as far as drugstores are concerned… my favorite thing is Cetaphil. whenever i’m back in the states, i buy like three big bottles of it, just to make sure i don’t run out.

    I use foundation, blusher and mascara by Boots 17 and Boots No.7 which are the own brands of a big “pharmacy” chain in the UK, and I find the quality fine for my budget! Srangely enough Im more likely to splash out on things like eyeshadows and eyeliner! I do love Clinique though and wish I could afford it!

    YES! I used to use Silken Taupe all the time in highschool…there was also this covergirl three shadow kit called shimmering sands or something, that I also loved. mmmm frosty 90′s colours!

    I basically use Stila’s Kitten or Oasis eyeshadows, as well as some from the Lorac kits. I like golds best :)
