Hermès is one of the oldest fashion houses, established in 1837. They are known rather famously for their extremely sought-after and valuable handbags that have no rival in terms of desirability. The iconic bags, named after the iconic muses who inspired or co-designed them, can have a waiting list of several years! They are like the holy grails of handbags. The Kelly is named after Grace Kelly, who appeared with the bag often, and the Constance was made famous on trend-setter Jacqueline Onassis's arm. Perhaps the most famous and desired may be the Birkin, co-designed by Jane Birkin to be a more practical version of the Kelly. Jane Birkin was a beautiful English actress and pop star who shared a famous romance with one of my favorites, Serge Gainsbourg.
